• AI Chat inputs: When you use the “Ask Thalaivar AI” feature, your messages are processed to generate a response. We do not store chat histories on our servers beyond the active session.
• Merchandise enquiries: When you contact us via WhatsApp or email about merchandise, you provide your name, contact details, and order preferences. This information is used solely to process your enquiry and fulfil your order.
• Email communications: If you email us directly, we store the communication for the purpose of responding and maintaining records.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: We may collect anonymised usage data including pages visited, time spent, and general geographic region (country-level only) via Vercel Analytics or similar tools.
• Technical data: IP address (anonymised), browser type, device type, and operating system — used only for security and performance purposes.
• Cookies: We use minimal functional cookies required for the website to operate. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies.

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Processes your AI chat inputs to generate responses. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We recommend not entering personal or sensitive data into the chat.
• Vercel: Our hosting provider. Handles server requests and may process IP addresses for performance and security. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• WhatsApp (Meta): If you contact us via WhatsApp, your conversation is subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

• AI chat inputs: Not retained beyond your active browser session on our servers
• Merchandise enquiry data: Retained for up to 3 years for order records and customer service purposes
• Email communications: Retained for up to 2 years
• Anonymised analytics: Aggregated data retained indefinitely; no personal identifiers

5. International Data Transfers

As a global website, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including India, the United States (Anthropic, Vercel), and other locations where our third-party providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any such transfers.

For EU users, data transfers are conducted under Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required by GDPR.
